A special overseas pump made of SUS316L was used to transport ammonia water at the steelworks. Due to the high pressure during transport, erosion and corrosion (Note 1) occurred, leading to severe wear, and it lasted only about three months. Issues: 1. Severe wear due to the transport of ammonia water. 2. The casing of the foreign-made special pump rotates, causing significant wear and holes to form in the casing. 3. Being foreign-made, the price is high, and the cost of parts is also expensive, with long lead times. 4. It must be replaced every three months.
